1. Choose mineral wool insulation according to the roof area and shape.
If the roof is a flat roof building, we can choose a larger size of rock wool board. Usually the standard width of the rock wool manufacturer is 1200mm× width 600mm.
If the roof shape is irregular, the rock wool board needs to be cut according to the actual situation.
2. Determine the thickness of the mineral wool insulation board according to the roof insulation requirements.
Generally speaking, the thickness of the roof insulation rock wool board is commonly 50mm, 80mm, 100mm, 150mm, 200mm, etc. In cold areas, thicker rock wool boards are required, such as 100-200mm.
In areas with milder climates, 50-80mm thick mineral wool insulation boards can usually meet basic insulation needs.
The rock wool board used for roof insulation usually has a density greater than or equal to 140kg/m3. You can choose a density of 140kg/m3-200kg/m3 according to your cost budget.
